Professional Biography

Prior to the University of Denver, I served as a post-doctoral research associate at the HathiTrust Research Center. My PhD is in Library and Information Science (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), with an MA in Humanities Computing and Library and Information Studies (University of Alberta).

Research

I work in large-scale text analysis, teaching computers to understand text at scales that cannot simply be read. Other areas of expertise focus on understanding and optimizing how people collaborate online.
