E-STEM
Short for Equity in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, E-STEM is a partnership between the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science and the Center for Multicultural Excellence. This grant-funded program creates pathways to academic success for students from historically underrepresented groups in the fields of science, math and engineering.
SupportMaker Space
The Innovation Floor maker space has been fostering creativity, innovation and the entrepreneurial mindset in its users. These spaces provide an accessible, low barrier-to-entry environment for hands-on, project based learning. They also serve as a space for interdisciplinary collaborations for budding entrepreneurs.
SupportProject X-ITE
Integrally connected with the bustling Denver startup community, Project X-ITE gives our faculty, staff and students the opportunity to work together on projects that provide extensive hands-on experience and could even help launch new businesses.
SupportCarbon Offset Fund
The goal of the Carbon Offset Fund is to help mitigate the negative environmental impact made by DU community members as they travel internationally. Funds will be used to plant trees throughout the Denver metro area along with other sustainability-related efforts.
Community Gardens
The Bridge Community Garden provides opportunities for the DU and neighborhood community to participate in local food production as well as learn about sustainable gardening practices.
Pollinators
The Pioneers for Pollinators purpose is to be the link between students working to improve the condition of pollinators and those with similar goals in the community at large.
Sustainability General Fund
The Center for Sustainability connects networks across campus and in the Denver community around the common goal of creating a more just, equitable and sustainable future. Since its formation, the Center has initiated many projects, including zero-waste hockey games, innovative class and research projects, launching of a campus bike program and much more.
